Ark: Survival Ascended Rules

Bans & Warnings

The following events, if proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be true, will result in an immediate ban:


  • Meshing
  • Insiding
  • Racism, homophobic/xenophobic attacks
  • DDOSS threats or DDOSSING
  • Cheating, usting software/programs to alter the game in any way (This does NOT include PreviewMode or 3rd party crosshairs. Both of these ARE ALLOWED.) 
  • Mesh bases
  • Pulling IP's 


For the following events, You Get 2 Warnings before a ban is issued. 1st warning to player, 2nd to tribe/tribe leader, 3rd strike you're out (Unless specified otherwise below): 


  • Impersonating staff or another tribe/player (1 warning)
  • Not being in the same tribe across all maps
  • Teaming outside of ally
  • Mesh biting/hitting (This includes hitting through or soaking through an admin edit on a cave.)
  • Threatening to pull IP's (This only garners 1 warning because it is not a joking matter)
  • Meshing structures on a racer, quetzal, boat, etc through enemy structures to avoid all line of sight of turrets. 
  • No personal attacks/harassment based on sex, gender, race, religion, and no using family to attack someone. Aka, don't be an ignorant fuck. If all you can do to talk shit is personal attacks, you can get fucked. (This rule & the punishment it warrants is flexible based on what is said, and is in connection with the discord rule so they carry over together.)


  • DO NOT do anything that can excessively cause lag, whether to lag the server or create excess lag during a raid/raid defense. This includes spam breeding during a raid, mindwipe spam, placing excess spam/wires outside of somewhere they would naturally be to defend, etc. If caught doing this beyond a reasonable doubt, you will likely receive a Temporary Ban. 


Regarding Cheating Accusations via Discord Tickets: We take all accusations seriously, but going forward we ask that all tickets include multiple clips/images of proof that said person or tribe is cheating. In many cases 1 clip of something is nowhere near enough for us to say that someone is cheating beyond a shadow of a doubt. You can still submit a ticket with 1, but unless it's something blatant, we may not be able to confidently do anything about it without more. PLEASE keep all hackusations in tickets and out of the General discord channels. It helps no one to announce it to the world. 

Tribes/Raids/PvP

If your tribe has a base on another map, you need to have your TRIBE NAME needs to be the same across ALL MAPS, and tribe names need to not glitch out in tribe logs like " :) " does. You can't be in one tribe in one map and one tribe on another.  


  • The tribe limit is 10 members, and those 10 members must be the same across all maps within our cluster. 


  • Teaming is only allowed in a PvE sense, outside of your (1) Blue Tag Ally. You can only have (1) Ally & it can only be switched every 72 hours, and an alliance cannot be formed/changed if a raid/raid defense has already begun. 


  • No using a tek bubble in a cave to push people/dinos through the cave walls & into the mesh. This is not allowed on official, and is not allowed on here either.


  • Demanding people pay a tax of some sort in order to build on a map is not allowed under any circumstances. Not only does it negatively impact the server & growth of it, it's also stupid as fuck. 


  • No merging tribes during a raid. Do so beforehand I f you want, and make sure you are following the rule about needing to be merged on ALL maps and have tribe rosters be the same on ALL maps. If merging for a raid causes you to lose bases to the tribe you merged with, then that's the commitment you make. 


  • Party Fobbing is still fine as long as its agreed upon by all parties involved. Just wanted to add this bit so that there'd be no confusion.


  • Under no circumstances is tunneling up to/into/inside of a cave allowed. Building platforms/stairs around it or for elevation is not the same, but will be judged on a case-by-case basis by admin team. Raft Raiding is fine so long as it does not go through structures.


  • If by some chance during a raid the map in question needs to be rolled back, YOU MUST take clips or screenshots of your progress. If so, your progress into the raid will be restored (towers removed, spam cleared, etc.). Without pictures/clips, no assistance can be provided since we will not be able to accurately tell or know where you got to.


  • If a person is kicked from a tribe, you must return the following things to them: personal dinos (can be neutered/spayed), PERSONALLY crafted tools/armor/weapons from their personal vault(s).It will be best for everyone involved if an admin is not required to search through your base, because breaking this rule can be banable. Bases belong to the tribe, rather than any one individual, so unless tribe says it's okay,  if you leave a tribe, you can't take the base. 


  • PvP is allowed at Red and Blue Obelisks. PvP is off limits at ALL TIMES at the Green Obelisks.  You can't counter someone coming out of a boss fight at green ob, but you can at Blue and Red.


  • Under no circumstances is it ok to popcorn/despawn loot. Anyone caught WITH PROOF of doing so will receive at minimum a temporary ban, and the server will be rolled back so that the tribe raiding can continue towards getting loot. MUST have proof in the form of a clip showing them despawn/popcorning the loot, photos of them admitting to it, or it be obvious in tribe logs. 


  • REGARDING RACERS/QUETZALS/MEGACHELONS:  When building on a Quetz or Racer, you can only build on the top + 1 side. No boxing in. 


  • If you just wiped a tribe, please wait 96 hours before you attempt to raid/PvP/mess with that tribe again on the same map. You gain nothing by wiping them on Friday, then coming back on Saturday and wiping their much smaller and less defended 2nd attempt so soon. Don't make people hate being here... Raid them, then move on and let them rebuild. THIS IS CONSIDERED GRIEFING. 

Insiding

 NO INSIDING. This includes but is not limited to; leaving a tribe and taking items without tribe leader consent, disabling defenses to allow entry for a opposing tribe. causing destruction from within the base prior to leaving the tribe. Whoever the tribe leader is has full ownership and can do with the tribe roster as they please. (There is Tribe Governance for a reason, USE IT! ) However, if leader quits ark & wants out, he cannot just give the base(s) away with no regard for the rest of the tribe.

BUILDING, SPAM, AND SPAWN BLOCKING

  • 2 Bases a allowed per map, for each tribe, but only 1 Cave OR Rat Hole. The 2nd base on a map must be an open area, either underwater (in the ocean) or on land. Tribes ARE ALLOWED to have a small farming box on a map, but it should not be some heavily fortified box with 300 turrets surrounding it. No more than 3 total bases across the cluster, and you cannot occupy the same spot across multiple versions of the same map. (Example: cannot occupy Ice Cave on Island if multiple Islands) 


  • Your Base Spam is not to exceed the box on that map in which your base occupies. (If you don't understand pull open your map on the server, see those squares? well the one you are marked in is your square, do not spam out of that square. Simple easy nice and breezy. Thank you!)


  • Carpet Spam is NOT ALLOWED. Organized Spam that's spaced out in a checker pattern is preferred, but just no carpet. 


  • The following spots/locations are NOT allowed to be built in for the sake of a base, fob, or whatever: 75,75 rathole in the ceiling of a tree on gen1, 76.7 06.2 waterfall rathole, basically rat spot on gen2 where you need any combination of tek suit, foundation, campfire, etc to walk or crouch into, fjordur boss caves (Brood, Dragon, Monkey. TP in them is fine.)


  • Do not leave Tek Generators on pulse. It is unnecessary lag to leave 1, 2, a dozen or more on pulsing, so please refrain from doing so. 


  • You are NOT allowed to build in/around the portal cave that takes you to the different special realms on Fjordur. All structures found there will be deleted on sight. 


  • Using structures that players spawn into and can not get out of .


  • Tribes are allowed to have TPs in the Magmasaur dens on gen1 and Fjordur, but they are NOT to put up turrets set to anything other than Wild Dinos Only. Likewise, tribes are to leave all TPs alone in said magma dens. IF one has turrets set to players, or if its blocking element, please take a clip of it and submit it to us in the Discord. 


  •  Using spikes/spike walls at player spawn locations.


  • Turrets located on or near spawn points, dino gates, or any type of structure/cage that is meant to trap or instantly kill a player and prevent them from spawning on the map. (May not apply if a spawn point is right on top of a cave/close to it).


  • Aggressive tames placed near spawn points in order to instantly kill players that spawn in. 


  • Since we provide clustered servers, there will be no blocking/denying access to Obelisks. This will allow players to transfer from server to server freely. 


  • No blocking the following areas - Green Ab Surface Tunnel, mini boss caves, mission obs (Genesis, unless it's in a cave that we allow building in), obelisks (turrets are allowed only during boss fights, must remove once done and threat is no longer present), high resource zones (element veins, or swamp cave), and Wyvern spawns (Includes the Wyvern Cove on Ragnarok). 


  • Building in Aberration Surface Tunnels is now allowed, and they will count as Caves. Building in the Green tunnel by the portal starting spawn (27,31 roughly) is not allowed to be built in or blocked in any way, all others are fine.


  • ALL VENTS on Genesis 2 are free to be built within, but the large bridges in the middle and at the Northern & Southern edges are NOT allowed to be built within, aside from TPs without turrets. A tribe can only occupy 1 VENT per map. 


  • All tribes are allowed to keep a single Teleporter at Green Ob on whatever map they want, but you are NOT allowed to store dinos/items/resources/dedis there. Just a tp, generator, a small tek bubble, and a bunkbed if you want. 


  • Players are not allowed to destroy TP's at Green Obs. If a tribe is storing resources/items/dinos/dedis at green ob with their tp, please take a photo of it and submit to staff via an issue ticket. 


  • Putting turrets in an unfortunately weak mesh spot of your base IS ALLOWED, but certain rules must be followed regarding them. Mesh defense turrets are to be named "Mesh" or something similar, and you MUST NOT name non-mesh defense turrets as such. Any found to be violating this will be deleted. Also, you cannot spam 300 turrets into a mesh hole as "defense", the max we want to see in an area is 20 or so, and if they are labeled, it should be fairly obvious if someone tries to mesh you. Lastly, you can't just shove turrets anywhere in the mesh of your cave/spot and call it "Mesh Defense" , this defense should only be in a spot/spots that are common mesh spots in your cave/vent. I'm sure you can find them if you look online.

Store

  • Admins will not fill out orders during an active raid, regardless of the map. We do not want to give tribes with an abundance of store credit or cash an unfair advantage in the middle of a raid by being able to purchase a dedi of this or dinos or anything.


  • In Game Sales & Trades - We DO allow a tribe to sell off one of their bases for cash if they are leaving the server or have more than they want, but we will be strict about reports of ripping other players off. We DO NOT allow the sale of dedis, dinos, BPs, etc for real $$ on our cluster.

Exploits

Examples are not limited to but can include: 


  • Attacking from, travelling through, or building in unintended game-zones. (under the mesh or above the map) 


  • Under NO CIRCUMSTANCE is building in a spot with a massive opening to the mesh allowed. If it is a traditional cave & it has an unintended mesh hole, inform us so we can patch it. Use the thought "If it looks illegal to build it, assume it is or make a ticket to ask staff."


  • Duplication of tames, items, or characters, unintended building mechanics. (such as floating structures, or using the world barrier as a snap point).


  • Using a racer with a "snorkel" is allowed just no meshing the snorkel into whatever you are trying to place the c4 on. Same goes for Rafts. No Meshing into Structures with Rafts! Modifying your game files to remove key graphical components (water, fog, etc) 


  • Attacking or blocking players through the terrain with dinosaurs. 


  • Intentionally crashing users or servers. (through DDoS or otherwise) 


  • Placing excessive quantities of C4 to prevent hostile C4 from being placed.


  • DINO BOMBING - dino bombing is allowed. 


  • No mesh bases, or Exploit Ratholes - Ratholes can be built in as long as you can legitimately get in and out of it, via crouching, crawling, and walking. NO Knockout spots, grapple spots, zipline, or use of items to get into spots. You must be able to naturally enter. THIS INCLUDES USING A FOUNDATION AND/OR RAMP OR TEK BOOTS ON GENESIS 2/ANY MAP.


  • Mesh biting/mesh hitting is not allowed. 


  • Using a canoe in an area where it should not be able to be used is an exploit. 


  • Sino Bombing, floating turrets (Except in the middle of large hatchframes), shooting rockets/fabis/guns underwater all count as exploits, and therefore are not allowed. 


  • INI use is allowed under VERY specific restrictions. Said INI can't provide instant dino turn, no sway/no recoil, or any other form of cheat. INI such as Vixous INI is legal, so any similar to that one that DOES NOT have built in cheats is fine for use. 

Fob Rules

  • Fobs that are put up during a raid must be removed once you are done with the raid completely. Unattended Fobs will be Red Gunned. If you do not successfully raid someone and want to keep at it then your fob can stay, but is to no exceed 1 week, and is not allowed to trap them in their base. You cannot have a fob that traps someone in their own base without a way out, Example someone built in a Cave, and ABSOLUTLEY NO Leaving the FOB up to be petty. This does NOT count if you intentionally destroy your/their teleporters.  


  • After 1 week of being fobbed has come & passed, you must pick up the entire fob and ALL spam before you can re-fob on that same tribe, if you even wish to do so. 


  • If a fob is left unattended for (3) days, with no activity related to continuing a raid in that time, a fob must be taken down or it will be cleared. 


  • Turrets can be used to push into a cave, but they cannot be left behind to trap a tribe if the raid fails. 


  • Players caged during PvP/Raid can only be kept for up to 24 hours from the point of capture, and must be killed once 24 hours is up. PLEASE make an issue ticket as soon as possible after you are captured/you capture someone, so that there is no issues for us figuring out when someone was actually captured.
